Experience Ballet! Costume Edition
Join Ms. Katie for a COSTUME-themed classical ballet WORKSHOP for your ballerina-in-training!
Saturday, October 4th | 10-11am, for students ages 6-9 and all levels of dance experience!
Enjoy an immersive hour of ballet fun-in-costume! Designed as a special activity for students to have additional studio time this fall, learn about the classic story ballets throughout history, and choreograph unique dances reflecting their own fairytale creation!
Attend the workshop in a favorite costume, whether ballet or Halloween-themed (no scary costumes please!), and utilizing a range of colorful props for dancing!
Students are encouraged to wear their ballet slippers from weekly classes AND their costume from home, whether from a prior ballet performance or their halloween/dress-up costume collection! Ms. Katie will have additional studio-owned costumes handy at the workshop too, for students to enjoy trying on and dancing in. Hair is encouraged to be secured back in a ponytail or headband for the duration of this activity since we will be actively dancing similar to classes, to help keep everyone free of tripping and falling as much as possible!
Your student will leave this over an hour long activity with take-home coloring pages, a ballet themed sticker, and the joyful memories of twirling, leaping, and creating beautiful ballet dancing all together.
This activity is a drop-off experience, so feel free to get your kiddo settled at the studio room at the community center and then utilize the hour for “mommy me-time” with a Saturday morning walk at Cannon Park, or running errands, etc!
LIMITED space is available for this special event - early registration is encouraged to secure a spot!
