EBA’s vision is to inspire, educate & encourage.
Ballet can have a place in everyone’s life. And we hope you will find a creative home at ELEVE Ballet Academy. Whether a student’s ballet journey is about to begin, or an experienced ballerina-in-training is continuing their training, we’re excited to come alongside every student and encourage their individual creative goals.
At EBA we make the oftentimes elite performing art form of classical ballet accessible to everyone interested in exploring this beautiful craft. Whether a student is drawn to ballet for artistic expression, athletic strengthening, a confidence boost, or all three, we ensure that these characteristics and more are fostered in every class.
Our range of classes all share common core traits including enthusiastic instructors, online class options, community-focused performances, a family-friendly and state of the art facility, strong classical ballet technique, exposure to classical music, positive social environment & overall the joy of creative movement infused into every class!
Katie | Founder & director
I started Eleve Ballet Academy in 2021 with a clear vision to offer high-quality, approachable classical ballet instruction to the local community. A welcoming and encouraging space for students to learn ballet, bond with classmates, and reach new levels of confidence. It remains my joy and privilege to live out this vision every day providing a range of classical ballet classes to Moore County and beyond.
I am an experienced ballet instructor and dancer, having taught beginner, intermediate, advanced/pre-professional students of all ages at Elysium Dance Project, Alpha & Omega Dance Academy, Elite Academy of Dance, and through private instruction at performing arts and fitness studios across the east coast.
Training students, ranging in age from 5-75, is my vocational and creative passion! Seeing each and every student reach new potential in their discipline of choice, discover their inner creative voice, and guide them to achieve new goals is my focus within each moment as an active arts educator.
I specialize in training all levels of classical ballet, pointe & choreography, strength conditioning, and performance coaching. My varied skill set and proficiency in music, dance, and physical fitness lends to a well-rounded approach to arts education, and equips me to understand and teach all aspects of training and performance.
I look forward to EBA classes inspiring you or your child with the spark of learning classical ballet and fanning that flame into a new level of personal confidence, skill proficiency, and creative expression!

My favorite aspects of ballet include the grace, poise, and confidence that you gain from dancing! It truly is one of the most beautiful forms of dance!
Some of my favorite parts about living in Moore County are the community and the beautiful seasons. I also love trying local places to eat; Pik N Pig is one of my favorite places to eat.
My favorite hobbies include lifting weights, reading books, and playing the piano.

I love the creative expression of ballet. I love listening to a song and “hearing the movement.” What parts of the song leap, what parts turn, what parts have big, sweeping movements? I enjoy that aspect of ballet the most.
My favorite part of living in Moore county is getting to experience the seasons, but a super mild version of them. I grew up in the sub-tropics where there were no seasons at all, and went to school up north where there were super intense winters. These mild seasons is about what I can handle.
In my free time, I love to sew. I love slow fashion and making our own clothing. My favorite item to make is dresses. I also really enjoy reading and am always reading.

My favorite aspect of ballet is watching ballet performances. I am always mesmorized how beautiful and amazing the dancers are. It also helps give me motivation to keep dancing and striving to be better, I love setting goals for myself. Ballet has been a passion of mine since I was a child, it’s helped me come out of my shell and express myself.
The community is my favorite part of living in Moore County. My family and I love going to the outdoor concerts, parades, and farmers markets. There is always something to do here and we love staying busy and having fun! I also love to stroll Main Street in Southern Pines when the weather is nice and beautiful. I always end our stroll at C. Cups Cupcakery because you can never have enough cupcakes in life!
As of late my favorite hobby has been sewing. I have so much to learn but I enjoy making dresses, bags, and all things ballet! I’ve successfully finished a few ballet skirts, leotards, and wrap shirts. It has been fun being able to pick out my own designs and fabric.

My favorite aspect of ballet is its storytelling. Ballet transforms narratives into a magical art form and gives dancers the ability to tell their own stories through the music and choreography.
Some of my favorite parts about living in Moore County include the greenery—especially during the summer—the quaint downtown areas, and, of course, the golf courses.
In my free time, I love to read, crochet, fish, and go on walks. I enjoy anything that has to do with being outside in nature.
