Student Company | w/s registration
EBA’s student company activity is back for the NEW YEAR!
All roles in the year-end recital performance will be soloist roles, with custom choreography assigned to each dancer!
Student Company enrollment will now be open to dancers ages 6+, any student enrolled in a weekly EBA ballet class interested in performing a soloist role can participate!
The individual choreography will be learned during a separate 55 minute-long private lesson, which serves as each dancer’s registration in the student company! Ms. Katie will record each dancer practicing the finished piece at the end of the lesson, posting it to the company-only section on the website for at-home practice.
There won’t be a separate audition activity occurring, instead students will be able to choose their role from options presented by Ms. Katie during their private lesson.
Two group rehearsals will occur in both April and May for students to run their solo pieces in show order and receive additional coaching for choreography “clean-up.”
Please note: The $55 lesson with Ms. Katie serves as your student’s student company registration fee, there’s no additional cost in order to participate! This lesson cost includes Ms. Katie’s preparations ahead of the lesson creating the custom choreography for each student, the lesson time assigning the role (your student choosing from 2 different role options), teaching the choreography, and recording/uploading the finished piece for student’s reference on the password-protected student company section on EBA’s website
