Cyndy Clendenin

Cyndy began her dance education at 3 years old in Cape Carteret, North Carolina. After her family moved to the Charlotte area; she continued studying the art at Pat Hall’s Dance Unlimited under the instruction of Pat Hall and Allison. Primarily focusing on the genres of lyrical and classical ballet; she has a great love for tap and jazz as well. Her competitive companies performed at statewide and national competitions with ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop pieces.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she moved to Moore County and has taught children’s ballet, tap, and jazz in both Moore County and Cary, NC, on and off for 18 years. Through the years as a ballet instructor; Cyndy has helped choreograph and present many classical ballets such as: The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Cinderella, and Giselle as well as contemporary themed ballets such as; The Wizard of Oz, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Frozen, etc.
Cyndy has always enjoyed telling a story through music and movement; but her greatest joy is sharing that same love with children. Her highest hope as an instructor is to ignite a love of ballet, movement, and storytelling that continues for the rest of their life! Cyndy lives in Whispering Pines with her husband, Andrew, their six children (Ceilidh, Graeme, Jane, Mary Alice, Maeve, Joseph), and dog, Maggie.
